Primrose Hill Farm oozes opportunity and it was the perfect backdrop for a four seasons shoot. I always feel theres a lot of pressure on couples to create a theme for their wedding day – whats your colour scheme is on the tip of everyones tongues. A seasonal direction creates a wonderful opportunity in my eyes. In a world where everything is available most of the year round, the four seasons would actually do you a favour. Using seasonal flowers and food is key to ensure that you’re not only avoiding spending unnecessary money where it wasn’t needed (by trying to get out of season flowers at a premium price!) but it would enable your suppliers to select the best quality for you as they will have the luxury of availability on their side.
Sophie & Chris hosted their English Country garden wedding at Sophie’s parents home in Putney, London. It really was the perfect setting for them. Now living in Portland in the US it was hugely evident how important family is to them and it was fantastic to see 2 families join and traditions merge to create a truly personal day.
So what happens when someone in the wedding industry gets married…a whole lot of pretty! Maids to Measure is a unique, UK based bridesmaid dress company and the brain child of Sinclair and her sister, India. So if anyone can have 13 bridesmaids, it’s Sinclair! Each bridesmaid with a bespoke bridesmaid dress to suit her style and 2 twins, the maids of honours, looking fabulous flaunting the new print!
This week it’s all about the placement ring! Last week I photographed a collaboration with Knot & Pop who are a duo of luxury wedding planners and creative event producers. We’d teamed up with the wonderful Julie from Hollyhock Lane who produces hand drawn, illustrated wedding stationery.
