Four seasons wedding theme at Primrose Hill Farm

Primrose Hill Farm oozes opportunity and it was the perfect backdrop for a four seasons shoot. I always feel theres a lot of pressure on couples to create a theme for their wedding day – whats your colour scheme is on the tip of everyones tongues. A seasonal direction creates a wonderful opportunity in my eyes. In a world where everything is available most of the year round, the four seasons would actually do you a favour. Using seasonal flowers and food is key to ensure that you’re not only avoiding spending unnecessary money where it wasn’t needed (by trying to get out of season flowers at a premium price!) but it would enable your suppliers to select the best quality for you as they will have the luxury of availability on their side.

I teamed up with Kerry Poulter and Indulgence Boutique Catering, and together we created a pretty mammoth shoot over 2 days!

Vine in the Wild created a stunning stationery suite for us. How dreamy is this calligraphy pen too from Tom’s Studio? The perfect accessory to make writing fun!

Indulgence showed how the styling of food is equally as important as the taste!

With Kerrys expert eye, she styled the beautiful still life shots with the incredible props we had on hand, including these Tom Dixon bowls from Amara (below right).

Princess Patisserie created this beautiful cake for the Autumn/Winter look and it was paired with dried florals from Fiona Perry. How incredible is that Platinum Octagonal Diamond ring too from Bear Brooksbank?!

Fiona Perry showed her longing to always create something unusual with this incredible iced florals. Just wow! The perfect styling setup for Manolo Blahnik shoes (above) and Tilly Thomas Lux earrings (below).

I really wanted to showcase a statement veil and this black cathedral length one from Sash & Veil was beautiful – so delicate! The subtle ice blue dress was a dream to shoot with sent over form Spain from Marco & Maria. This design is on trend with the bow and embellishments at the waist. Fiona Perry used dried flowers from Ascott Gardens to complete this look.

Charlie Brears Eyelash full length coat with a plunging neckline slip underneath brought even more texture to the textured walls of the old farm buildings. This statement necklace is by Begada via La Maison Couture.

The day before the shoot I visited A Most Curious Wedding Fair to see Tilly Thomas Lux (star earrings). The cape above caught my eye on Lorie X stand – I’m a huge fan of her work and one of those suppliers that I feel I know well due to our endless instagram mutual love, however we’d not had the opportunity to meet. Designer, Laura was on her stand and kindly allowed me to take the cape and I’m so happy she did! The Nancy Cape is cut from delicate corded lace and uses the scalloped edges as features along the hems and sleeves. Cropped at the front and long at the back for a dramatic feel.

This show stopping look is the work of Sharon Bowen-Dryden. The statement ombre grey skirt with ruffled layers throughout, with a long sleeved, plunging neckline lace top. The Tilly Thomas Lux estella necklace (worn forwards) on the left and then the What Katy Did Next gold leaf Eugenie collar. Can we just take a moment to admire these incredible florals too? Fiona created the most amazing cascading bouquet which worked brilliantly with this skirt.

The fresh, bright colours brings us to Spring/Summer! I’m sure you’ll agree that the food produced here by Indulgence looks incredible!

Going back to my earlier comment about presentation, these images echo this!

Vine in the Wild created an equally beautiful stationery suite for Spring/Summer. What better way to style it too than with a spring bulb and Ranunculus.

Refreshing cocktails also illustrate the use of florals and soft colours to continue the theme.

When suppliers work together to create a masterpiece – Princess Patisserie created a stunningly simple tall, single tier soft pink cake. Fiona Perry created a focal point of cascading strands of flower heads to accompany this.

The Bbla Bride baby blue lace pumps are part of the new Manolo Blahnik wedding collection. Within this collection is the ever recognisable Hangisi style, cleverly with a slightly lower heel – perfect for dancing the night away!

Another Marco & Maria design, the soft pink tulle with detailed beaded panels and delicately appliquéd. This Berkeley gown is available from Morgan Davies here in the UK! It is also available with a lining (featured here without). A staggering bouquet from Fiona full of soft pinks and oranges and a floral hair adornment finished this look.

This Sharon Bowen-Dryden rosewater tulle skirt and lace corset looked stunning on the model with her English rose skin tones. Fiona created an unusual bouquet with varied textures which stood out well against the soft fabrics of the gown, coupled with silk ribbons from Kate Cullen.

How amazing would this dress be for the evening? The rose gold sequin and nude tulle layered off the shoulder dress is the party dress! It could be worn with heels or bridal trainers! Skip over to Charlotte Mills to see her personalised hand painted Dana trainers (want!) or these Florence Jacko trainers. See them teamed with bridal dungarees on another shoot I did with this dream team here.

Now you have seen all four seasons, which is your favourite? Would you consider running with this for your wedding day? I hope this has inspired you as we certainly had a very creative couple of days bringing this all together.
