Pantone Colour of the Year 2015, Marsala wedding inspiration.

Each year, Pantone select a colour of the year. This colour is always a direction for fashion, beauty, design, interiors….and of course, weddings!

– for 2015, they’ve selected Marsala. A naturally robust and earthy wine red, enriches our minds, bodies and souls.

The full bodied depth to this colour for a wedding would mix so well with subtle and elegant golds, rose golds or coppers. It would also pair well with soft greys, lilacs and cool blues.

The deep red is flattering against all skin tones too – think of a red lip, or carrying a gorgeous bouquet with hints of Marsala in. So dramatic, yet complimented with subtle tones too ensures it is luxurious and glamorous. I can see this colour being huge for both autumnal and winter weddings.
